Even the middle of January can be a “Hot August Night” for Chris Denem.
That’s because while the Butler County singer-songwriter is his own man, he’s also often “Neil Diamond.”

In solo performances and occasionally with a band, Denem performs enthusiastically received tributes to Neil Diamond and his music throughout the year at venues in the tri-state, including Mountaineer Park, Seven Springs, and the Eastern U.S.

He debuts in a dinner show at Jimmy G’s, Sharpsburg, Saturday night, supported by a five-piece band.

If you go

What: Chris Denem’s “Tribute to Neil Diamond.”
When: 9 p.m. Saturday (doors open 7 p.m. for dinner).

Where: Jimmy G’s, 1822 Main St., Sharpsburg.

Cost: $20 for show only; or $40 for dinner and show.
