Diamond homes arrive in Oak Island

Residents in Oak Island are doing the happy dance and singing the praises of Neil Diamond. Four of the twelve brand new homes, courtesy of the music legend Neil Diamond rolled into the community this past week end
It has been well over a year since hurricane Ike and many families are still struggling and living in temporary housing. Twelve residents are giving Diamond the credit for their new lease on life
This week, contractors will begin installing four brand new modular homes for residents who lost their houses during Hurricane Ike. Contractors plan to use cranes to hoist the houses onto pylons planted 12 feet above sea level.
Each of the modular homes comes in two sections. The homes have three bedrooms and two full baths. Residents were able to pick out to pick out the colors and many amenities of their brand new Neil Diamond homes.
In two weeks four more Diamond homes will arrive in the ever anxious community of Oak Island
