Fan photos

10 ft Blue Shark–photo taken by yours truly. I wasn’t in an anti-shark cage either–this is up close and real personal.

2007 Ovation Collectors model

And here is my prize, the aboslute best sounding guitar I have ever played, the wonderful Martin D-28. I Finally decided enough was enough and took the plundge. I play it every single day and it is simply perfect. I blows away anything I’ve ever played. I can’t say enough about it. Now I know what everyone is always talking about. Gibson….they are toys compared to Martins.

Another photo after one of Phil Harris’s funny stories

Crab Boat Captains from “The Deadliest Catch”; right to left: Capt. Phil Harris, Capt. Johnathan Hillstrand and Capt. Chris Wright (he’s one of our local scallopers whom I’ve made a trip with and moderated the event)

Gracie all tuckered out after an exciting Christmas!

Here is a Grey Seal hanging around the Fisherman’s Pier in Chatham on Cape Cod, MA. They frequently hang around when the boats come in to land their catch…you know, looking for a hand our; which they usually get. The guy in this pic probbaly weighs between 5-6 hundred lbs.

Here is a pair of Common SaddleBack Dolphins. Taken aboard a pleasure boat in Rhode Island Sound. They were riding the crest to the boat’s wake from the bow. This actually happens quite often and its always a thrill to see them so close. Sometimes you can hear their chattering as well.

Here’s my complete accident. I was trying to get a shot of water running over these rocks and the water created an interesting “out of focus” effect. It almost looks like a painting. I HAVE to call this one “Stones”.

I’m becoming obsessed with Stones!

Little Cooper wants a treat!

Me and Linda Greenlaw, probably the best swordfish boat captain ever! She was at the helm during the Halloween Storm of ’91 (The Perfect Storm..to the rest of ya), and she was one I read about back in Indiana and was so impressed with that I moved to Rhode Island and went to sea myself. She’s really a big hero to me.

That’s me on the left with the white guitar in 1989. Please forgive the mullets..we didn’t know any better.

The same Blue Shark comming towards me.

This is my 1982 Ovation Custom Balladeer. You will notice how similar it looks like Neil’s guitar in the TYA concert. Same model except no electronics. Its got a crack on the face and I got it for next to nothing, so hey, why not. It does have a nice deep tone.

This is my favorite shark photo. I was in the water, unprotected and right up close. He even let me run my hand down his dorsal side. Lovely

Yours truly taking the Sushi idea way too literally! Thats a Striped Bass (or Strip-ahh–if you’re from New England) and the boat is an inshore lobster boat.
