The Journey Has Begun. Part I

I dont know why I was there, but it was rainy, cold and dreary as I stood in line at the New Haven Coliseum waiting to buy tickets to see Neil Diamond in concert. A coworker of my moms was a huge fan of Neils (especially Red Red Wine) and being the youngest and not having a job, it was decided that I would be the one to get the tickets for me, mom, Linda, and her friend. I had heard of Neil, I mean who hadnt? I had recently seen the Jazz Singer for the umpteenth time on HBO and I liked some of his songs, but I wasnt really a fan. In late April, the 4 of us sat on the side and watched Neil put on his show, I felt the excitement and fell instantly in love with him!!When he sang Hello Again, I felt my heart thumping in my chest and knew I would never be the same again. I was sad when I left the show because I felt that there was no way I would ever see him again, I slept with the program under my pillow and replayed his songs over and over in my head.
