    East Concert Next Friday

Neil Diamond, known as the “Hunk,” will highlight the Morton East Student Government Association concert Friday, April 5, in the Morton East auditorium. The concert will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and the “Hunk” will perform for 40 minutes according to Vic Cison, chairman of the concert committee.

Tickets can be obtained at the Morton East ticket office or from members of any student club. Tickets are $3 per person. The public is welcome and can secure tickets by sending a check to….

A nationally known composer and performer, Neil writes to express himself; and his different moods can be seen in the songs he has written. Jay and The Americans, Bobby Vinton, Andy Williams, Ronnie Dove, and the Monkees have recorded songs written by him.

As a performer, Neil was introduced as a singer when he recorded, more than a year ago, the song “Solitary Man,” “Cherry Cherry,” “Thank the Lord for the Nighttime,” “Kentucky Woman,” “You Got to Me,” and “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon.” They all rose to the Top 10 charts with “Cherry Cherry” hitting the No. 1 spot.

In addition to the “Hunk,” the Aprocryphais will perform. (The rest of the article deals with this group, and I have omitted it.
