The UK album charts have just been released for week beginning 18th May, 2008 and it is confirmed that the legendary Neil Diamond has achieved his 2nd UK #1 album success; His fantastic new album Home before Dark has debuted in the charts at the #1 spot less than a week after release. Neil Diamond previously had a UK #1 album when his album The Greatest Hits, 1966-92 topped the charts for 3 weeks in August, 1992. This gives Neil a remarkable transatlantic double with Home before Dark already topping the USA album charts after it also debuted at the top spot to give him his first #1 album success in the USA. I used to dream years ago, 10 or more, probably more like 15 or 20, what it would be like to see Neil get a number one album again, Have him on the radio again. I was so sure back then that it would happen, but the last 5 or 6 years I gave up, I just thought that it would never happen, I would never be able to turn on the radio and hear Neil almost non-stop. I still can't believe that this is really happening now. Not only the Number One album, but I listen to him and his records almost non-stop in my car and on my computer. I just can't describe the feelings I feel right now. It is just truly fantastic, truly a warm glowing feeling. Almost as there is hope for all of us, all people of the world, that some how some way we can all peacefully coexist without trying to harm eachother. I just wanted to say thank you for your post.
