The writer was just giving one perspective. Which I think is different than when Neil sings to someone on stage, when he's in a performer mode. Before and after, I can understand Neil not wanting to be distracted and wanting privacy. He's the boss, so to speak, and everywhere I've worked you abide by the bosses rules or you find somewhere else to work. Neil wouldnt know theprofessionalism (or not) of venue employees or freelancers. One could Argue that's part of being in the public eye, no pun intended, but I'd rather Neil have his rules and perform rather than not!
